DEMOCRATS DISCOVER THEY ARE CAPITALISTS, NOT SOCIALISTS
Sixty candidates sign the midterms costume change; Trump still says communist
WASHINGTON — Sixty Democratic candidates, including ten House members, signed a Promise to America line that they are capitalists, not socialists. Candidate Amish Shah: I'm not a socialist. I believe in capitalism as a great tool for promoting human prosperity. October cosplay. Primary season loved the DSA energy. General season loves the blazer.
Donald Trump's line remains the foil they need: it's going to be a communist country if they win. So the choir reprints the pledge and hopes swing districts forget the campus rhetoric, the Squad photo ops, and every hearing where capitalism was the villain of the week.
FNN's commentary desk does not need a séance. Costume change before November is the oldest trick in the binder. Sign the capitalism card. Soft-pedal the socialist sticker. Ask the electorate to pretend June never happened.
Same midterms panic machine that airlifted Letitia James onto the Cornell file now needs voters to believe the party suddenly found Adam Smith under the couch. Print the pledge. Then watch the next press conference. The blazer comes off when the cameras leave. FNN prefers paperwork to rebrand theater. Until the voting record matches the pledge card, the commentary stays: capitalists on letterhead, socialists on the stump, panic before the ballot.
