Omar's voter purge post draws firestorm heat
Elmi marriage, Hirsi taxes, brother claim fenced off
Ilhan Omar of the Squad posted against a voter-roll purge and called the move un-American. FNN's commentary desk reads the post against the marriage file she cannot outrun.
Omar was legally married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009. A long-running brother allegation has been denied; the Star Tribune treated key strands as unproven; partisan DNA talk and DHS/Homan probe claims from 2025-26 remain claims, not convictions. Fence those.
What is not a rumor is the Minnesota campaign board finding on joint taxes with Hirsi while Omar remained legally married to Elmi. Allegation is one lane. Board finding is another. This page keeps them separate on purpose.
